Dr. Shimrit Maman
Dr. Simonetta di Pippo is professor of practise of space economy and Director of the Space Economy Evolution Lab, SDA Bocconi. She is also visiting professor of practice at NYUAD. Former Director of the United Nations Oce for Outer Space Aairs, she is member of the WEF global future council on space since 2016, member of the Board of Directors of RINA SPA, member of the Consiglio Direttivo di Osservatorio Metropolitano, and member of the Advisor Board of Criptaliae, the association for the development of the Italian Spaceport in Grottaglie. In 2009, she founded Women in Aerospace Europe, and she is currently its Honorary President. She then became UN International Gender Champion, also launching the Space4Women project at the UN.
Dr. Shimrit Maman is senior scientist in the Homeland Security Institute and director of the Earth and Planetary Image Facility at Ben Gurion University of the Negev. She also heads the Israeli Regional Support Oce of the United Nations Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response.
